Arnold is one of the funniest people that I know and I consider him a true friend.  His sense of humor is incredible and his outlook on life is inspiring.  If everyone had the positive outlook that Arnold does, we would all be so much happier in our day to day existence.  He once told me that when he feels lazy or depressed, he pictures death tapping him on his left shoulder and telling him that time is his enemy, then asking if that how he wants for finish out his days.  Arnold is currently on Death Row in TX, recently active in his 5th Court Appeal.  He is also an incredible artist and sent my children and me some wonderful pieces of art!  You can see Arnold's work on the drawings pages.  Arnold also writes letters to my daughters that both encourage them and make them smile.  Arnold loves children and has a heart that can speak to them.  My daughter Reghan adores him and carries her fairy drawing and Arnold's letters in her school binder.  Arnold is teaching me Spanish and is truly mi Compa!

I had a wonderful time with mi Compa during our visit in April.  We got to spend 4 hours a day for two consecutive days together.  He is truly a good man with a great heart.  His family is extremely important to him and I had the pleasure of spending time with them as well.  Arnold's mom is one of the sweetest women that I know and little Arnold is such a joy to be around.  Little Arnold's mom, Francis was wonderful and we all had a great time (well, I know I did) when we all spent an evening together.  I thank you all for making me feel a part of your family and  I look forward to spending lots of time with you in the future!

I also had the pleasure of spending time with Arnold's wife Lisa, as well as her sister Linda and Linda's sons Andrew and Matthew.  Linda's husband Ash was on the row with Arnold and is a good friend of his. Unfortunately Ash was executed on August 29th 2007.
